- Wave 15: First miniboss wave.
- Waves 16–24: Mid-game. Splitters, phantoms, bastions; variety pressure.
- Wave 25: Second miniboss.
- Waves 26–29: Late-game pack pressure.
- Wave 30: Polyhedron — the final boss.
For per-wave composition see Waves.
Victory drops
Completing wave 30 rolls 15 % chance for 1 × mithril_lump per party member (rolled independently). Mithril lumps are used at the account-level Equipment panel to craft the Mithril Sword — the upgraded sword used in the Crystalline Caverns dimension.
Mithril lumps only drop from Desolate Depths victories. Custom-level runs don't grant them. The Game Over screen shows the drop table and whether your roll hit or missed.
Strategy
See Strategies for detailed build paths. The short version: focus tech on either the Physical or Energy branch through Wave 15, then converge via Void Mastery by Wave 25 to handle the boss.
